| I really want to have more American wine in my cellar but without naming names find I don't care for a lot of it, so I keep experimenting. My recent experience with the '01 Belle Pente Murto didn't quite convince me, I loved the flavors but was put off by what I considered alcohol that was a bit too high. But it was certainly worth pursuing this estate and I found the '02 Wahle vineyard. I not only liked this one but "case buy" was my final verdict. Watching this one develop will be very enjoyable. Perfectly ripe fruit, soft tannins, clove, blackberries and the alcohol is somewhere not even noticed. It tastes like pinot, wow. Looking at their site I read that this is their last vintage for this vineyard, what a shame. I hope the next person to get this fruit does as well. Thanks to FL Jim for the recommendations.
