Subject: another question that I meant to ask you...

I have been troubled with leaf-eating beetles that eat out the flesh of the vine leaves between the veins. These beetles are voracious, about 8 mm long, squarish-ended, viridescent black-green, and have many transverse stripes on their abdomens. They keep appearing no matter what I do, but not in the numbers I saw them early on. They are susceptible to pyrethrin spray. Do you know what they are?

Best wishes,
John
