The Times did an excellent tasting about 4-5 months ago and someone had slipped in a ringer with the Kettle One, Grey Goose and other high end vodkas.

I seem to remember Eric Asimov led the tating. The unanimous winner was the ringer...good old Smirnoff. It was funny to read further as they tried to back peddle saying maybe it was the comforting taste that they remembered from raiding their parents cabinets as mid teens.
