I used to drink three ounces or more neat before dinner every night, chilled of course, and believe me I could tell the difference. Room temp vodka, though, probably all tastes pretty much alike, which is to say horrible.

But vodka does get lost in mixed drinks. No point in spending money on the good stuff for that.
