Just as I finished posting on this thread the phone rang and it was JBL calling from SF where he and his wife had just eaten their way through The Ferry Building. JBL and I agreed that we had both broken bread with Steve P and had always found him to be both erudite and charming. We concurred that for Steve to be abrasive it would have to be the company he's entertaining.
Jason was just reassuring me that he would be here next weekend to help us fend off Brad Kane's perfidious attacks on wines that are acid balanced.
