... are pretty much run of the mill, character-less tequilas. I don't like Tesoro much either, and I would be surprised if anyone, at least in Mexico, considers Tesoro among "the very best". Cuervo also makes a super premium tequila called Reserva de la Familia that comes in a pretty wooden box, but it is also an overoaked mess. My favorites are Don Julio and Tres Generaciones, in both cases the "reposado" versions. Prices, unfortunately, have doubled over the past three or four years.
